The Dallas Cowboys enter the season with plenty of hope and expectations.
Despite sharing the NFC East with two other playoff-caliber teams, they firmly believe they can finally get over the ump and put an end to their Super Bowl drought once and for all.
Nonetheless, people outside of the organization aren’t always that optimistic when talking about them.
That’s mostly because of Dak Prescott, as he has failed to impress after a somewhat remarkable start to his career.
Prescott is a mid-tier quarterback, and not many analysts believe he’s got what it takes to lead the team to a championship.
However, Cowboys veteran WR Brandin Cooks recently praised Prescott’s leadership, claiming that he — and all of his teammates — would follow him anywhere and stating that leadership is the No. 1 quality one should want in a quarterback, and he has plenty of that, as quoted by Ed Werder of ESPN.
Brandin Cooks, who has played with Tom Brady and Drew Brees, on Dak Prescott’s leadership: “The way that Dak leads, so authentic, you’ll follow that man anywhere. That alone is the No. 1 key in my opinion that you have to have in a quarterback, and he has that and more.” pic.twitter.com/qZ5bvi4hmT

That’s big praise coming from a guy who also shared a locker room with Tom Brady and Drew Brees.
He’s not the first person who has raved about Prescott’s leadership and human skills.
He’s a hard-working guy and has vowed to bounce back in a big way next season.
The Cowboys have given him more than enough offensive resources to find success, boasting a solid wideout corps and an efficient RB1 in Tony Pollard.
Now, whether he’ll be able to silence the critics once and for all or not remains to be seen.
