On Tuesday night, the NL Central-leading Milwaukee Brewers got a strong start out of their ace in right-hander Corbin Burnes.
Burnes went eight innings and did not allow a run.
He also struck out eight batters, didn’t allow a walk, and only gave up three hits.
But the game meant a little something extra to Craig Counsell, the team’s manager.
It was the 1,181st game managed by Counsell in a Brewers uniform, which is the most in team history.
He got to celebrate with a 7-1 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
After the game, Counsell got a chance to chat with Harold Reynolds of MLB Network, where he expressed his excitement over his most recent accomplishment.

Counsell talked about how much it meant to him to have achieved such a historic feat.
He began his statement by talking about the impact of outfielder Christian Yelich.
Counsell says that Yelich is healthy and that the team is banking on a big season from him.
The Brewers skipper then focused on his accomplishment, saying that it was a dream come true for him.
When Counsell was young, his father, John, worked in the Brewers organization as the director of community relations.
Counsell says that the accomplishment he’s most proud of is playing in the big leagues, but that being able to manage the team he grew up watching and cheering for is a close second.
He then stressed how grateful he was to have such a unique opportunity.
The Brewers are now 8-3 and lead the NL Central by a game over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
