The Chicago Cubs are trying to take down the Milwaukee Brewers and win the NL Central crown.
In case they can’t, they are still in a very good position to make the playoffs as a Wild Card team: all they have to do is keep playing good baseball.
To do that, they will get help from a young, talented prospect: outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong.
It was reported by several outlets on Monday that the speedy center fielder will be called up to play against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field.
He is a fantastic defensive center fielder who can run, hit, and has developed excellent power for his position in the last couple of years.
He is the complete package as a prospect, but there are two main reasons why the Cubs opted to make the call according to Cubs insider Jesse Rogers.

There are your two reasons: one, he is swinging a hot stick.
And two, he can contribute elite center field defense, which translates into outs and a better performance by the team and, most specifically, the pitchers.
Armstrong has hit 20 home runs and stolen 37 bases this year between Double-A and Triple-A.
He had a .898 OPS in Double-A and is at .829 in Triple-A.
He is also willing to take a walk and while he can be a bit prone to strikeouts, he has other ways to help and produce even when slumping.
