D.K. Metcalf has been one of the most highly discussed wide receivers in the NFL over the past few seasons.

Metcalf famously fell in the 2019 draft, where the Seattle Seahawks gladly scooped him up with the 64th overall pick.

He tested highly in many measurables and athletic feats, but for some reason, he wasn’t viewed that highly during the pre-draft process.

Metcalf has since proved his doubters wrong, putting up several highlight plays in his career thus far.

One such play came in a recent practice, which was shared by the Seahawks’ official account.

In this video, Metcalf reached up and back for a big one-handed catch, a play that resembled Odell Beckham Jr.’s grab from several years ago.

As one might imagine, Metcalf’s catch went viral, causing fans across the internet to share this video thousands of times.

He continues to defy people’s expectations, and if the preseason hype is any indication, he’s in for another big year on the field.

Metcalf isn’t just known for highlight-reel catches and sheer athleticism, although both of those things are impressive.

He is also a character off the field, and videos of him talking about a diet of candy and coffee have also made their rounds.

Regardless of how the Seahawks perform this season, and whatever their wins and losses look like, they can count on Metcalf to put together some spectacular performances, continuing to show up for this team whenever they need him to step up.
