It’s been more than a while since the Dallas Cowboys last made it to the Super Bowl.
But at least they have something that no other team in the league seems to have: Continuity, and that could take one team a long way.
At least, that’s the case with the quarterback position, as Dak Prescott is now the longest-tenured starting quarterback in the league now that Aaron Rodgers has left to join the New York Jets.

Prescott took the reins of America’s Team in 2016, and while his career has been full of ups and downs and impressive plays followed by head-scratching throws, he’s still locked in for the future.
It took him a while, but he eventually got the deal he was looking for, and now he’ll have to go to great lengths to live up to it.
Needless to say, his once-remarkable deal could be considered a bargain by today’s standards, especially looking at his divisional rival Jalen Hurts, who just signed a five-year extension worth $255 million.
Then again, Prescott wanted to be paid like a franchise quarterback and showed glimpses of being one, so he needs to take a step forward and bounce back in 2023 after his interception-riddled season in 2022.
The Cowboys added Brandin Cooks to give him yet another solid weapon in the passing game, and Tony Pollard looks ready and poised to have a breakout year now that he’s riding solo in their backfield.
