The Dallas Cowboys picked up their eighth win of the season on Thursday afternoon.

In their annual Thanksgiving game, the Cowboys dismantled the Washington Commanders by a score of 45-10.

It was another elite performance from quarterback Dak Prescott who is playing some of the best football of his career.

This recent run by Prescott has vaulted him into the MVP conversation.

Through 11 games, Prescott has thrown for 23 touchdowns and only six interceptions.

Also, he is Pro Football Focus’ highest-rated quarterback this season.

Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy thinks Prescott is playing at an MVP level.

According to Jon Machota, McCarthy said he thinks Prescott’s stretch of play is comparable to some that Aaron Rodgers had with McCarthy in Green Bay.

It is hard to argue given what Prescott has done of late.

No quarterback in the NFL is playing better than he is, and his Thanksgiving day performance proves that.

According to PFF, Prescott had a 97.0 grade, the highest of any player this season.

When you play quarterback for the Cowboys, the expectations are always sky high.

Prescott has lived up to the hype this year and he deserves all of the credit.

The MVP race is wide open and there is no reason to think Prescott cannot win it.

But, the last six games of the season will be the determining factors in the race.

Of the Cowboys’ last six games they play five teams with a winning record.

If Prescott can keep playing at an elite level the MVP may be his to lose.
