The Minnesota Vikings shocked the NFL world early in the offseason, releasing Dalvin Cook.
Cook had been a staple of their running game but now joins the pool of veteran backs searching for a new home.
Recent reports have indicated that some of the league’s top rushers discussed what is next for them.
In a recent segment of the ‘Rich Eisen Show,’ Cook confirmed these rumors and said, “I feel the frustration of every running back around the league.”

He not only confirmed this video call but also indicated that there is a running back group chat, which was started by Derrick Henry.
Eisen has joined many other analysts to express concern for running backs, discussing the injustice that’s currently happening.
Among other topics, Cook discussed how running backs are regarded on social media.
One thing he mentioned was their salaries being “compared to punters and kickers.”
While special teams have a place on an NFL roster, Cook believes the impact that running backs have to endure is worth so much more.
Cook had signed a five-year, $63 million contract with the Vikings.
While this seemed like a great deal at the time, he wasn’t guaranteed an additional salary after Cook was cut.
The NFL could be forced to step in and do something, especially if these elite players continue to voice their frustrations.
They have continued to publically criticize the league and the continued disrespect of the position as a whole.
Will Cook and the rest of the free-agent backs find a new team before the season starts?
