When the Minnesota Vikings cut Dalvin Cook, it sent shockwaves throughout the NFL.
Cook was one of the league’s best rushers in 2022, but the Vikings didn’t want to take on his contract moving forward.
After he was cut, what would happen to Cook and where his next landing spot would be was largely unknown.
While it’s just for a visit, Tom Pelissero has reported that Cook is on his way to the New York Jets.
Four-time Pro Bowl playmaker Dalvin Cook is flying today to New York for a visit with the #Jets this weekend.

The Jets have made significant strides to improve their roster throughout the offseason, especially on the offensive side of the ball.
Aaron Rodgers was their most significant move to date, but they’ve also added receivers to the roster.
While Cook has proven that he can be a solid standalone back with plenty left in the tank, other motivations are likely in play.
After a brilliant start to his rookie campaign in 2022, Breece Hall tore his ACL.
Considering his unknown status after this injury, Cook could likely be a stand-in for Hall, assuming the team moves forward and signs him.
Assuming Cook joins the roster, he would stabilize the position with Hall out and be a vital roster piece moving forward.
As the team eases Hall back onto the field, Cook could also help the team in a running back by committee capacity, splitting carries with Hall.
At this point, Cook will likely join a contender as he looks to win a Super Bowl ring for the first time in his career.
