The new-look Milwaukee Bucks practiced together on Wednesday during training camp.
Well, most of them practiced together.
The team’s head coach, Adrian Griffin, said that Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard did not participate in practice.
Lillard spoke to Eric Nehm about why he sat out of practice and said it’s nothing to be alarmed about.
Lillard said Wednesday was a “rest day.”
He added that this summer didn’t allow him to work out in September like he usually does.
But he did confirm that his body is in good condition and ready to play.
He is doing what needs to be done so he’s in the best shape when the new season tips off.

Lillard has been in the NBA for 11 years and hasn’t missed too much time due to injuries.
Therefore, he clearly knows how to take care of his body and stay in the right condition to last a whole season.
Lillard mentioned that he would have told his younger self to be a better listener to the people looking out for him and his well-being.
He is probably doing that now and the team was supportive of him missing practice on Wednesday.
People shouldn’t be worried just because Lillard skipped Wednesday’s session.
There is every reason to believe that the entire Bucks roster will be ready to play in a few weeks.
Lillard is in good shape, Antetokounmpo is healed and healthy, and Khris Middleton is ramping up in preparation for games too.
This is great news for fans of the team, who are now expecting big things in 2023-24.
