The Damian Lillard saga with the Portland Trail Blazers is coming to an end.
After many years of trying to win with the Blazers, the point guard has decided to ask out.
While many thought he would have stayed put in Portland to run it back after the team drafted Scoot Henderson and re-signed Jerami Grant, Lillard has other plans.
According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, the star player is requesting a trade.

A player of his caliber will be in big demand now, but it seems like the Miami Heat are the frontrunners to acquire his services.
The Brooklyn Nets were also mentioned as a potential landing spot for him.

Lillard is coming off another great NBA season, averaging 32.2 points, 7.3 assists, and 4.8 rebounds in 58 games.
He wanted to win with the Portland Trail Blazers and waited until free agency to give them a chance.
However, this team looks pretty much the same as last season, and Lillard won’t move the needle with the current roster.
It’ll be interesting to see what type of package they get for Lillard, but things are developing as we speak.
Lillard could become a champion in Miami or a solid contender in Brooklyn.
