The Milwaukee Bucks recently acquired Damian Lillard via one of the most significant trades in recent memory.

Lillard was rumored to be heading to the Miami Heat, but the Bucks seemingly swooped in at the seventh hour, adding Lillard to their team.

Even though Lillard has only been in the building for a few days, he has already seen enough of one teammate to give him high praise.

In a recent press conference shared via the team, Lillard gave props to MarJon Beauchamp.

“He’s a player that, if I was scouting players, I would draft him,” Lillard said.

Beauchamp was the Bucks’ first-round pick in 2022.

He spent his first year on their G-League roster, giving him time to grow and develop in an NBA system.

Last year, Beauchamp had an opportunity to see some playing time on the Bucks, appearing in 52 games and starting in 11.

While he averaged 5.1 points and 2.2 rebounds per game, Lillard believes he could be a special part of this team.

At 6’7,” Beauchamp is another tall player for the Bucks, in what is likely to be one of the biggest rosters in the NBA.

If Lillard’s comments are any indication, he is well on his way to playing even more significant minutes this season.

He’ll have to keep impressing the coaching staff, given the amount of talent that exists on the roster.

By adding Lillard during the offseason, the Bucks showed that they’re not messing around.

They’ll seemingly do whatever it takes to compete this year, hoping to get another title under their belt.
