You may or may not think this is the best NBA era of all time, and that’s fine.

Some think it’s soft and easier to score, while others believe we’re witnessing the pinnacle of basketball.

Regardless of where you stand, one thing might be for sure: Never has the league had so many talented players.

That’s why it’s never easy to rank the best players in today’s game, as everything is so dynamic and could change in the blink of an eye.

Damian Lillard, however, embraced the challenge.

In his recent appearance on the Club 520 Podcast, he listed the five best players in the game in no particular order (Via ClutchPoints).

Unsurprisingly, Anthony Edwards made the list, as he’s the most exciting American rising star in the game right now, and with his newly-found defensive prowess, he might be the best player on Earth a year or two from now.

Perhaps surprisingly, he chose Ja Morant, who was barely able to play last season due to a suspension and an injury but who’s also an electrifying player with his speed and athleticism.

Lillard then chose Luka Doncic, the most complete offensive player in the game right now, and who could easily be the best in the league if he got in better shape.

Then, he chose Nikola Jokic, who’s been almost unanimously the best player in the league over the past four years or so.

Last but not least, he chose his very own teammate Giannis Antetokouonmpo, who’s struggled with injuries lately but might be the best two-way player in the game when Kawhi Leonard is sitting.
