Damian Lillard is undoubtedly one of the best point guards of this generation and his career averages are proof of it.
He has put up 25.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game over his 11-year career in the league.
Despite being such a phenomenal player, Lillard has yet to play in the NBA Finals even once.
But would you believe that Lillard ended a player’s career in the league?
Dame recently revealed via Legion Hoops on Twitter that he ended Steve Nash’s career.
“I actually kneed him on accident, and that’s what ended his career,” Lillard said.
Damian Lillard:
“When [Steve Nash] ended his career with a leg injury, me and him ran into each other. I actually kneed him on accident and that’s what ended his career.”

Lillard is usually one of the calmest players on the court and keeps his calm even in the most heated moments.
But no one would have expected that it was Lillard, who ended Nash’s career with a knee to his leg, albeit accidentally.
Nash played in the NBA until the 2013-14 season.
But during his final season in the league, he played just 15 games due to injury troubles.
The two-time NBA MVP averaged just 6.8 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game.
Sure, Nash was 39 years old at the time, but he could have prolonged his NBA career if it weren’t for that gruesome injury.
As for Lillard, he is currently in the headlines due to his trade request from the Trail Blazers earlier this summer.
Lillard is in search of his first NBA Championship and the only way for the dream to come true seems like a trade away from Portland.
Will he get his request fulfilled? Only time will tell.
