Damian Lillard is now officially a member of the Milwaukee Bucks.
Fans of the team have been closely following the Bucks since the season started but even more of them will be tuning in on Monday night.
That’s because the Bucks will be playing against the Miami Heat on Monday, which means that Lillard will get his first chance to face off against the team he wanted to be traded to.
But it will be just any other game for Lillard, according to Anthony Chiang, via NBACentral.
“I’m not going into [Monday] like, ‘This is the team I was supposed to be playing for,’” Lillard told Chiang.

At the start of the summer, Lillard requested a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers and said that he had only one destination in mind: the Heat.
That could have been the beginning and end of things but the Blazers never accepted an offer from the Heat.
All summer long, people wondered if a deal would come together.
In the end, it didn’t and Lillard was instead sent to the Bucks.
There were rumors that Lillard wouldn’t stay committed to any team other than the Heat.
But that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.
In his first game with Milwaukee, Lillard posted 39 points and 8 rebounds in a strong start to the season.
But on Sunday night, things hit a serious rough patch and Lillard only scored 6 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Fans are hoping that this up-and-down pattern doesn’t continue and that Lillard stays consistent for the rest of the year.
On Monday night, Lillard will have a chance to prove himself again to the faithful Bucks followers.
And he will be able to do that against the team he wished to sign with.
