The NFL’s MVP race has been up for grabs for several weeks.

A few players have been viewed as front-runners, but there hasn’t necessarily been someone a cut above the rest.

After seeing Week 17 play out, fans and analysts are ready to crown their pick for MVP, including Dan Orlovsky.

Orlovsky recently appeared on “Get Up,” discussing Lamar Jackson’s brilliance in the Baltimore Ravens’ win over the Miami Dolphins.

He outlined Jackson’s ability to “make something out of nothing,” a prime example of why Jackson is his pick for MVP.

Jackson has been known as a big-play athlete since he entered the league.

While many believed he possessed the skills as an athlete, it was previously unknown how he would turn out as a passer.

As Orlovsky and several analysts have highlighted throughout the year, Jackson has more than proven that he is a capable football thrower.

His decision-making this season has been the best of his career, which is another contributing factor to his hopeful MVP run.

The Dolphins are viewed as one of the AFC’s best teams, and Jackson achieved a perfect passer rating against them.

If that indicates how well he is playing this year, Jackson should be a shoo-in for MVP.

Orlovsky believes Jackson has made a compelling case, and as a former quarterback-turned-analyst, his voice has a lot of power in the NFL community.

Of course, many factors make up the voting process, and there is no telling what the voters will decide for this year’s winner.
