The majority of NFL fans have easy access to box scores from every game in the league.
This is an opportunity for them to quickly see what happened during a particular week, seeing stats associated with different players.
When looking at a team’s sack total, at a glance, it can be easy to quickly judge an offensive line for poor play.
However, this might not tell the entire story.
In a recent segment of the Pat McAfee Show, Dan Orlovsky looked inside the New York Giants, going deeper than the box score.
“Out of the eleven sacks I saw last night, I count six of them on Daniel Jones,” Orlovsky said.
“It’s fair for us to expect more from Daniel Jones..

While Orlovsky didn’t necessarily give the Giants’ O-line high praise, he talked about heightened expectations for Jones.
The Giants gave Jones a massive contract extension during the offseason, largely due to his improved play during the 2022 season.
After starting the season with a 1-3 record, however, Jones’ performances haven’t necessarily reflected this contract.
Orlovsky expects Jones to get out of more sacks given his ability to make plays happen on the ground.
The offensive line can certainly improve, but if Jones waits too long in the pocket, even the best lines collapse in time.
If the Giants want any chance at improvement, this is an area that will need to get better for the rest of the season.
It is nearly impossible to win a football game after a quarterback is sacked 11 times, putting Jones and the Giants at a severe disadvantage.
