We’ve reached the midpoint of the NFL preseason, and the regular season is just a handful of weeks away.

With that in mind, all analysts and pundits are rushing to fire their bold takes about what may or may not happen this season.

That’s why Dan Orlovsky took some time to share his list of non-favorite teams that could sneak their way into the Super Bowl, and it was quite interesting, via “First Take” on Twitter.

At No. 5, he chose the Detroit Lions, a team expected to be at the top of the NFC North now that Aaron Rodgers has left the Green Bay Packers.

The Lions have a solid offensive line, a revamped secondary, and a good receiving corps.

Then, he talked about the Denver Broncos, who should fare much better this season under Sean Payton than they did with Nathaniel Hackett.

Their defense is stacked with talent, and it may all depend on Russell Wilson’s performance.

Shockingly, he talked about the New York Giants at No. 3, perhaps hoping they’d build from last year’s success and a somewhat surprising playoff win.

Brian Daboll’s impact was immediate in the Big Apple, but they still have a long way to go before being in this conversation.

Orlovsky chose the New Orleans Saints at No. 2, another surprise considering Dennis Allen’s team has underperformed.

Perhaps, he has a lot of faith in Derek Carr now that he’s finally away from the Raiders.

No. 1 was no surprise, as he chose the Jacksonville Jaguars, the reigning AFC South champions.

Trevor Lawrence is a star in the making and will only get better with another year under Doug Pederson, and their schedule is quite promising.
