Throughout the course of his NBA career, Kyrie Irving has made quite a few enemies.

While his talents and skills have never been in question, the way he handled himself, some of his views, and his lack of availability often made pundits question his love and feel for the game, his work ethic, and even his character.

Irving has come a long way since arriving in Dallas to join forces with Luka Doncic, and a lot of those who criticized him are now eating their words.

That’s why former NFL QB Dan Orlovsky took to Twitter to share his two cents on the matter.

I’m not an NBA super fan but man the public narrative that seems to have been said/spread about Kyrie and hoops and certainly his character/personality over the past few seasons isn’t what we’re watching at all.

The NFL analyst claimed that he had been led to believe some things about Irving’s character and personality that don’t seem to be true.

When the conversation was strictly about hoops, pundits and analysts were more than right to call him out for his shortcomings and not being available.

Even so, people change, and Irving was never a bad guy, at least according to his colleagues.

But at the end of the day, the analyst’s job is to talk about the player’s performance, not about his personality.

Kyrie’s season has helped him redeem himself, and it’s nice to see that he’s finally getting the flowers he always deserved for his hooping skills.
