Every single year, a special talent declares for the NFL Draft and takes his talents to the league.
Of course, more often than not, there’s not a thing as a consensus ‘can’t-miss’ talent, and there are always some concerns about them or their game.
Despite being the projected No. 2 selection for months now, Jayden Daniels isn’t the exception to that rule.
Some argue that he’s not great at passing in the middle of the field or when pressured, and while the eye test might show that, the numbers don’t lie, and his numbers say otherwise.
That’s why former NFL QB Dan Orlovsky took to Twitter to defend the LSU star, showing that he actually led all potential first-round picks in yards per attempt when targeting the middle of the field (10.8) last season.
He also responded to those who were concerned about his pressure-to-sack ratio by showing that even though he was sacked 22% of the time when facing pressure, he also finished the season with seven touchdowns and no interceptions in those situations.
I had people ask/tell me
What about Daniels and how he can’t throw over the MOF or concern about this pressure to sack ratio and I didn’t see that on his tape IMO

Needless to say, there’s never a perfect prospect.
All young players can be polished and developed.
Even seasoned veterans keep working on their craft and their game to be the best version of themselves.
Daniels isn’t the exception to that rule.
He could make an impact right away and most likely will.
But taking a QB at No. 2 isn’t just about his rookie season, it’s about having him there for the long run and putting him in a position to succeed to help the team win a championship.
