In less than a week, Bronny James could officially be part of the NBA.
But which team will the son of LeBron play for?
There is still a lot of speculation about where James will go just days before next week’s draft.
On his show, Dan Patrick threw out a wild idea that he doesn’t feel is that far-fetched.
After reading some quotes from agent Rich Paul, Patrick suggested that the Dallas Mavericks sign Bronny and pair him with Kyrie Irving.
By doing that, it may be enough to entice LeBron to become a free agent, leave the Los Angeles Lakers, and take a new deal with the Mavericks.
That would be a massive development that would shake up the Western Conference, but is it even possible?

Paul recently commented on the idea of LeBron and Bronny playing together and said that LeBron isn’t going to make career decisions based on the prospect of playing with his son.
Previous rumors were saying that he would move to another team in order to suit up with Bronny but apparently his opinion has changed.
Still, Patrick thinks LeBron still wants to be with Bronny and he also has a desire to play with his old friend Irving again.
All of that could give the Mavericks a huge opportunity that would radically transform their roster and perhaps their playoff chances.
From a strategic standpoint, it’s not entirely clear how James would fit in the current Dallas lineup.
Irving and Doncic already divide the ball handling and the addition of James would add another playmaker who wants to run the show.
While adding both LeBron and Bronny would give the team more star power, it might not make much sense.
