Dan Quinn Sends First Message To Commanders Fans

Even though Dan Quinn was always on the Washington Commanders’ candidate shortlist for the head coaching job, some fans were still shocked — and others disappointed — about the fact that he got the position.

Quinn does come with plenty of experience and has done a solid job as Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator, but he also comes with a long and heartbreaking history of postseason meltdowns.

That’s why he wanted to send the Washington fans a message and let them know just how excited he is about working for that organization and how he hopes the fans rally with the team next season (via Washington Commanders).

Quinn is a solid football mind.

He did lead the Atlanta Falcons to the Super Bowl despite not having one of the best teams in the league, and while some people give Kyle Shanahan more credit for their 2016 heroics, Quinn also deserves his flowers.

The Commanders are among the teams with the most cap space in the league this offseason, and there are rumblings of them looking to trade up to the No. 1 pick to get new offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury reunited with USC star QB Caleb Williams.

Even if that’s not the case, the Commanders could be one of the most-improved teams in the league next season.

And while Ron Rivera didn’t leave the bar all that high after years of underperforming, the new front office and ownership will demand nothing but greatness from Quinn and company, as Magic Johnson isn’t known for his patience as a team owner.
