The Los Angeles Lakers began to look really special during the second half of last season and they are looking to build on that success.
D’Angelo Russell, the team’s point guard, envisions a great 2023-24.
“I think we can beat a lot of teams, and we can win a lot of games,” Russell said after Sunday night’s preseason loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, according to Spectrum SportsNet.

There are a number of reasons why Russell pictures big things for his team in the months ahead.
Not only has Russell been working on his own game, especially on the defensive end of the court, but he also thinks other players on the team can produce something memorable.
He gave shoutouts to both Jarred Vanderbilt and Cam Reddish.
During the press conference, Russell also confirmed that he has taken on a mentor role for some of the younger players.
At 27 years old, Russell is a proven NBA veteran.
During his eight years in the league, he has done a lot and learned a lot too, and now he is ready to share his knowledge with rising stars.
The Lakers already have perhaps the greatest leader in the NBA: LeBron James.
However, the team could always use more advice and guidance from others.
Russell will need to be great at taking shots and making plays, but if he can also inspire and lead his fellow players, that could make a huge difference.
Russell’s confidence in the team is unmistakable and he obviously loves and believes in this group.
Feelings like that can be contagious and might help the team achieve a lot.
