The Los Angeles Lakers need to turn the series around.

It’s somewhat okay — or expected — to lose the first two away from home, as they will still need to take one on the road to steal homecourt advantage.

That’s why they need to take care of business now that the series is heading to Southern California.

With that in mind, coach Darvin Ham claimed that he wanted his players to remember this feeling and how much the loss in Game 2 had stung them, as they will now have to get back at them at home (via Jovan Buha & The Athletic).

“It stings. Remember this feeling as we go back to LA. We need to give them this feeling in Game 3.”

Well, there’s not much to say when you blow a 20-point lead late in the third quarter.

Even so, given the way LeBron James and Anthony Davis addressed the media after the game, it’s hard to think that they’re looking for silver linings or moral victories.

The fact of the matter is that the Lakers have lost ten consecutive games to the same opponent, six of those in the playoffs.

They’ve now dug themselves into a 0-2 hole, and while they wouldn’t be the first team to come back from such a deficit, they look out of sorts.

Ham claimed that the Lakers didn’t want to use all of their adjustments on Nikola Jokic in Game 1.

Then, Jokic put up 27 with 20 rebounds and ten assists on them in Game 2, so maybe he didn’t use any of them in that matchup either.

Mike Malone continues to win the tactical battle, and it’s going to be tough to revert this situation that way.
