Over the past few months, there’s been a lot of speculation surrounding the Las Vegas Raiders and superstar wide receiver Davante Adams due to the constant rumors simply not going away.

Even though Adams has said time and time again that he wants to stay with the Raiders, the trade rumors persistent involving the perennial Pro Bowler, as many believe it will only be a matter of time before he asks to be traded or the team capitalizes on the value he can bring back in a deal.

A few years ago, the Raiders sent shockwaves throughout the NFL after acquiring Adams in a blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers, which is a move that no one saw coming and instantly gave the struggling franchise a fighting chance to compete in the AFC.

The main reason this trade went down was Adams’ desire to leave Green Bay and reunite with his Fresno State teammate Derek Carr, who was the Raiders’ starting quarterback at the time.

Unfortunately for Adams, the reunion was shortlived as the Raiders brass ended up benching and parting ways with the veteran quarterback before the dynamic duo could really get going and show how dangerous they used to be in college.

On the Club Shay Shay podcast with Shannon Sharpe, Adams admitted that the Raiders’ decision to bench and release Carr didn’t sit well with him.

“When they got rid of him, I was not happy about that at all,” Adams said.

With Carr being Adams’ best friend and the two finally getting to reunite on the NFL level, it comes as no surprise that the superstar wideout was upset about the team’s decision to eventually bring in Jimmy Garoppolo.

Unfortunately for Adams, things got even worse in Las Vegas, with Garoppolo flaming out quickly, leading to rookie Aidan O’Connell taking over, which has left the veteran wideout in limbo with no telling if the Raiders can turn things around.
