Davante Adams is surely one of the best wide receivers of the modern era, though he entered the NFL with minimal fanfare as a second-round draft selection out of Fresno State in 2014.
He was fortunate enough to be drafted by the Green Bay Packers, and was immediately teamed with future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
When Adams left the frozen tundra after the 2021 season, he had hauled in 669 receptions for 8,121 yards, proving that his connection with Rodgers was highly productive.
Now Rodgers is a New York Jet and Adams a Las Vegas Raider, so could there ever be a reunion between receiver and quarterback?
Adams told former NFL star Shannon Sharpe that if he was to be reunited with anyone, it would be Rodgers.
However, he added, “I’m locked in with the Raiders, and I feel really good about this team. As far as I know, they feel good about me.”

Adams observed that there was a lot of noise in the media last year about he and Rodgers possibly becoming a lethal connection again.
These discussions eventually entered the locker room, and Adams was asked about his intentions and the possibility of leaving Las Vegas.
The receiver added that if the Raiders ever decide that he is not part of their plans, then the two sides would sit down and consider where to go from there.
Rodgers, Adams said, is “one of the best to ever play the game,” and the combination of their two talents created a “tandem” that was highly successful.
And possibly deserving of an encore.
