Davante Adams Says Legendary QB Would Be Perfect For Raiders

Ever since superstar wide receiver Davante Adams left fellow superstar Aaron Rodgers by forcing the Green Bay Packers to trade him to the Las Vegas Raiders, the future Hall of Famer has had no consistency at the quarterback position.

Although Adams forced the trade to reunite with Fresno State teammate Derek Carr in Sin City, the veteran quarterback couldn’t get the job done and was ultimately benched and then released after his first season with Adams in Silver and Black.

After Carr was sent packing, the Raiders brought in veteran Jimmy Garoppolo to lead head coach Josh McDaniels’ offense, which turned out to be a disaster, as the quarterback and coach couldn’t get the job done either, leading to both of them getting their walking papers.

Now Adams is catching passes from second-year pro Aidan O’Connell, who fared pretty well in his rookie campaign taking over for Garoppolo, but that didn’t stop the Raiders from bringing in another veteran during the offseason by signing Gardner Minshew.

On a recent appearance on “Club Shay Shay” with Shannon Sharpe, Adams was asked about Tom Brady and how he’d love to play with him, even if he was 58 years old.

“Hell, yes. I don’t care. 58. He’s getting older, but I mean, he’s still got to be able to throw it better than half these dudes in the league,” Adams said.

This is likely a similar answer that any elite receiver in the NFL would give because, simply put, Brady, who actually is only 46 years old, is arguably the best quarterback in history and figured out how to make it work with almost every receiver he played with.

In Adams’ case, he wants some consistency and doesn’t want to waste the rest of his prime on something that might never work with the Raiders, despite his love for the franchise.
