Davante Adams’ name has come up a lot during the offseason.

Despite signing a massive contract with the Las Vegas Raiders, many believe Adams is looking to reunite with his old friend, Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers, of course, plays for the New York Jets now, a team that is, on paper, ready to compete for the Super Bowl.

The Raiders aren’t seen in the same light, and with a suboptimal quarterback situation, one might understand if Adams wanted to jump ship and rejoin Rodgers.

This has been the public narrative, but Adams has recently made it clear that he isn’t a fan of these talks, and wants to stick to the task at hand: helping the Raiders win a Super Bowl.

When talking to Jonathan Jones about these comments, he said, “It was extremely annoying, still is.”

The Raiders are counting on Adams to give them his full effort, as he is their No. 1 wide receiver by a healthy margin.

They’ve brought in other players to try and bulk up their roster, but to this point, Adams remains the alpha in the room.

This could cause some frustration for Adams in downfield coverage, but for now, he maintains that he wants to stay a Raider for the foreseeable future.

One thing that these conversations have left out, is that, according to Spotrac, Adams is tied to the Raiders until the 2026 season, making a trade to a team like the Jets nearly impossible, unless they attempted to buy out his massive contract.
