The Sacramento Kings were one of the most entertaining teams to watch in the NBA last season.

Mike Brown was the rightful and deserving winner of the NBA Coach of the Year Award after the hard work he put in with that team.

But besides the coaching change and how that affected the team’s culture, one also has to give De’Aaron Fox a lot of credit.

Fox finally turned the corner and took that leap forward, and while it took him longer than some of his colleagues, Davion Mitchell believes we still haven’t seen the best of him.

In a recent appearance on “Deuce & Mo,” Mitchell predicted that Fox could be a top-five MVP candidate next season.

He claims that he’s way more talkative as a leader now, both on and off the court.

He also talked about Fox’s improved defense, and how he’s taking pride in guarding the rival team’s best player.

More than that, Mitchell believes Fox has gotten tougher, and it’s way more difficult to stop him from getting to his spots.

Fox is one of the fastest players in the league, and he rose as one of the finest scorers in the clutch as well last season.

Needless to say, putting an end to a serious playoff drought was great, but that doesn’t mean the up-and-coming Kings are satisfied by any means.

Fox has everything to be a superstar, and don’t be shocked if he fulfills Mitchell’s prophecy by becoming a legit MVP candidate sooner rather than later.
