Last season, the Sacramento Kings made a move widely viewed as a step in the wrong direction for the team with the longest playoff drought in the NBA.
The team sent up-and-comer Tyrese Haliburton to the Indiana Pacers in a blockbuster trade that resulted in veteran big man Domantus Sabonis coming to Sacramento.
With Haliburton being the most promising young player to play for the team since it drafted De’Aaron Fox, it seemed like another mistake in a long history of mistakes for the Kings.
However, the trade has completely turned the franchise around, and now Fox is playing at superstar-caliber and has shown his worth against the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors in the first round by joining some select company in franchise history, according to NBA on ESPN.

Being in the same category as Oscar Robertson, Chris Webber and Mike Bibby is impressive for the up-and-coming guard who has become the new face of the franchise in Sacramento.
Although this is an impressive accomplishment for the 25-year-old, Fox would almost certainly have instead gotten the win over the Warriors on Sunday in San Francisco in Game 4.
The first-round series between these two teams has now been tied up at two games apiece as it shifts back to Sacramento for Game 5 at the Golden 1 Center.
Although it has been a team effort for the Kings, Sacramento wouldn’t be in this position without the strong play of Fox, and he will have to continue to play at that level if this team hopes to advance to the second round.
