After his official departure from the Arizona Cardinals, many have wondered what the next destination is for DeAndre Hopkins.
He has been linked to many teams throughout the offseason, including the New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans, among others.
Kyler Murray, Hopkins’ former quarterback, has recently been the subject of scrutiny and criticism.
In a recent social media post, Hopkins spoke out against this criticism of Murray, saying, “Stop the K1 disrespect.”

He also called Murray a “difference maker,” and indicated that he’ll have success in the NFL for the foreseeable future.
Murray was the first-overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, winning the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
His first three years in the league were nothing short of spectacular, and many believed he was one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
However, after suffering an ACL injury late in the 2022 season, the public opinion of Murray has soured.
Many have expressed that Murray’s play style is unsustainable and that his injury from last season is the first of many to come for him.
Regardless of the public opinion, Hopkins’ comments seem to indicate that he believes in Murray and thinks that he can have a longstanding NFL career.
When healthy, Murray has shown that his ability to rush and pass efficiently has led to success for the Cardinals’ offense.
However, that hasn’t necessarily materialized into playoff runs, something that the organization would like to see from Murray.
When Murray comes back in the 2023 season, he’ll certainly have a lot to prove, especially given the Cardinals’ investment in him.
