The San Francisco 49ers will head into the 2024 NFL season as arguably one of the best all-around teams in the league. The reigning NFC champions remain a squad that is widely considered to be a legitimate Super Bowl title contender.
Although the 49ers have high expectations that could result in a second consecutive trip to the big game in February, the team is dealing with some internal situations that need to be resolved as soon as possible in order to put the best team on the field come Week 1.
Along with the ongoing holdout of star left tackle Trent Williams, arguably one of the best players in the league at his position and vital to the offense’s success, the 49ers are trying to get things sorted out with star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk.
It seems like Aiyuk has been in contract talks with the 49ers ever since the team lost the Super Bowl LVIII to the Kansas City Chiefs, as the two sides have been unable to see eye-to-eye on a new deal, which has resulted in a trade request, which reportedly has been close to coming to fruition.
With the saga ongoing, teammate Deebo Samuel was asked if the 49ers could win the Super Bowl without Aiyuk.
“I think BA’s gonna be a part of this team, so we don’t have to worry about that,” Samuel said on “Up & Adams.”
Can this #49ers team WIN a Super Bowl without WR Brandon Aiyuk??

Despite Samuel’s optimism, only time will tell how everything pans out and whether things can get wrapped up before the regular season opener against Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets.
The Pittsburgh Steelers seem to be the team most interested in trading for Aiyuk, and they certainly could use him, but it remains to be seen if that deal comes to fruition or if a contract extension gets done in San Francisco.
