The Indianapolis Colts have failed to make the playoffs in each of the past two seasons.

Part of the reason why is that they do not have quality quarterback play.

Ever since Andrew Luck’s untimely retirement, the Colts have struggled at the most important position.

But, it appears that this upcoming NFL Draft will be where they find their franchise QB.

The Colts have a good roster in place and play in a weak division.

So if they can get the quarterback right, they have a chance to compete.

Selecting fourth overall, the Colts are expected to select a quarterback.

But, the growing pains with a rookie quarterback could lead the Colts into a rebuild for a few years.

That is not something that defensive linemen Deforest Buckner will accept.

According to Pro Football Talk, Buckner has no interest in a rebuild.

The former All-Pro is entering his age-29 season, and he wants to win now.

If the Colts do decide to move forward with a rebuilding mindset, you can bet that Buckner will request a trade.

Older NFL players understand that each year is so important due to the physical toll on their bodies.

But if the Colts are going to compete, Buckner will need to play a big role.

He is arguably their top defensive player, and he can rush the passer from the interior.

Seeing how the Colts handle this draft and what they do with Buckner will be very interesting.
