Deion Sanders has quickly become one of college football’s most talked about coaches.

Sanders was an elite athlete in his day, and when he started coaching, many believed he could make a true difference.

He helped turn Jackson State’s football program around, and due to his success with them, he was offered the head coaching gig at Colorado.

His first season didn’t exactly go as planned, but Coach Prime is ready for a second season with this school, hoping to turn things around.

While Sanders is widely talked about and generally popular, he does have some critics, including Finebaum.

For whatever reason, Finebaum has spent significant time attacking Sanders and the Colorado program, recently calling it “irrelevant.”

Sanders doesn’t seem to be phased by this criticism.

He recently appeared on Robert Griffin III’s podcast, saying, “How can we be irrelevant and you talking about me?”

Sanders also said, “The fan only blows when you hot. So we must be hot.”

Finebaum can keep talking trash about Sanders and Colorado, but judging by these comments, Sanders won’t let him interfere with his mojo.

Colorado has a lot of work to do if they want to be ranked again this year, and Sanders is well aware of where his team stacks up.

They might not be in the running to make the expanded playoffs this year, but there is little doubt that Sanders can, at least, bring their record closer to .500.

Fans won’t have to wait long to see Sanders’ team in action, as their first game is on August 29th against North Dakota State.
