Over the last decade or so, the number of players in the league who would be considered villains or tough to deal with due to personality issues or bad tempers has gotten less and less as everyone wants to get along these days.
However, Dillon Brooks of the Houston Rockets seems to be the exception, as he could not care less if he is loved or hated around the league, which has given him quite the reputation and has rubbed a lot of his peers the wrong way.
Apparently, DeMar DeRozan of the Chicago Bulls is one of those players who can’t stand Brooks and the style of basketball he plays, as the veteran guard came out and said he doesn’t like the Rockets star, via Legion Hoops.
“I’m not going to lie, I just don’t like him. And for two, don’t walk up behind me, that’s rule number one, don’t walk up on no man behind him when his back’s turned,” DeRozan said (per @2510show).

These days, Brooks infamously likes to get under the skin of star players he faces, which sometimes seems to work in the Rockets’ favor, as some of these players can’t play at the same level while frustrated by his antics on the basketball floor.
DeRozan is one of many who feels this way about Brooks in the league, as LeBron James, Donovan Mitchell, and Draymond Green would likely share this sentiment.
This old-school approach to playing defense with extreme physicality while implementing dirty tricks can be successful at times, but it may not sit well with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, who could eventually get sick of his act and take drastic measures.
