DeMarcus Cousins had an incredible NBA career and is continuing to have success overseas, as his resume now includes four All-Star selections, a pair of All-NBA Second Team selections, and a T1 League Finals MVP after leading his Taiwan Beer Leopards to a championship.

He has accomplished so much and was one of the best players of his generation, but in a recent media appearance, Boogie revealed one regret from his career.

Cousins recently appeared on The Draymond Green Show and said that one regret he has is during one of his years with the Sacramento Kings, his brother “had a situation of his own” and Cousins snapped at a reporter named Andy Furillo, who Cousins said repeatedly would put out hit pieces but shifted his focus to Cousins’ brother once he ran out of material, joking “I definitely pressed that old man a little too hard.”

The incident Cousins is referring to happened in 2016 when he approached Furillo and shouted obscenities at him and reportedly told him, “Don’t ever mention my brother again.”

Furillo had written an article detailing Cousins and Matt Barnes being sued over an alleged assault from a nightclub incident, while also bringing up Cousins’ brother, who was arrested in a separate nightclub incident while out with the NBA star.

Cousins had a few run-ins with the media during his time in Sacramento, but this was the most notable, and it certainly shows character development that he is able to feel bad about it now and laugh about the whole thing.

Cousins had a reputation for being abrasive and emotional during his early career, but it’s great to see him in good spirits and enjoying his time dominating in Taiwan.
