Cleveland Browns Pro Bowl cornerback Denzel Ward recently suffered the fifth concussion of his NFL career earlier this preseason.
While there was some fear that the 27-year-old’s career might be in jeopardy, Ward spoke with the Cleveland media about why he isn’t as concerned as most.
“I feel great…I’ve done a lot of research and met with concussion specialists…They reassured me and gave me the knowledge that I needed,” Ward said while at Browns’ practice.

NFL fans should be relieved to know that Ward is doing okay and that he is excited to be back with the team.
Concussions are not easy to deal with for anyone, but it is a relief to know that Ward is in a better place mentally after suffering his fifth one.
If Cleveland wants to be better than they were a year ago when they won 11 games, Ward is going to have to stay healthy because of how good he is on the field.
The three-time Pro-Bowler and former first-round pick has recorded 10+ pass deflections and multiple interceptions in every year of his NFL career.
Reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett might be the most important player on this defense, but Ward’s presence is just as significant on the backend.
In a division that includes the likes of Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Zay Flowers, George Pickens, and other talented pass-catchers, it is star corners like Ward who can make all the difference in the world for a possible playoff team like the Browns.
