After a stellar 2023 NFL season in which superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson won his second NFL MVP award and the team reached the AFC Championship Game, the Baltimore Ravens headed into the offseason with high hopes of adding some more pieces to the championship puzzle.

Fortunately for the Ravens, the team’s brass made one of the most significant moves of the NFL offseason by signing superstar running back Derrick Henry, formerly of the Tennessee Titans, in free agency.

The addition of Henry is expected to be a game-changer for an offense that was already in the conversation for one of the best in the league, as Baltimore will have two significant threats coming out of the backfield with the veteran back and Jackson when he chooses to run the ball, which always keeps opposing defenses on their heels.

Interestingly enough, Henry coming to Baltimore was in the works for quite some time as the Titans were in trade talks with the Ravens before the deadline last year, which he knew and had on his mind while watching Jackson and company in the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.

Henry liked what he saw when watching the Ravens during his last year with the Titans, resulting in him signing with the team in free agency, making Baltimore’s offense one of the most intimidating coming into the 2024 NFL season.

It’ll be interesting to see if Henry can make this offense that much more dynamic in Baltimore and if that results in the Ravens being able to go the distance in 2024.
