The Baltimore Ravens made one of the splash signings of the offseason by signing one of the best running backs of the last decade in Derrick Henry to a multi-year deal.

The former Offensive Player of the Year with the Titans is excited to be in Baltimore and happy to not be the center of attention because there are so many quality players on John Harbaugh’s team.

“It’s going to be fun and a breath of fresh air not being the center of attention,” Henry recently told The Athletic.

Of course, Henry is referring to quarterback Lamar Jackson, who should be able to help him shoulder the offensive load.

The two-time MVP has rushed for 1,000 yards twice in his career and has also improved as a passer throughout his career in Baltimore.

For just the second time in six years, Jackson had a passer rating above 100 in 2023.

With his arm and legs, he and Henry could form one of the best QB-RB duos the league has seen in quite some time.

Despite being 30 years of age and entering his ninth NFL season, Henry is coming off another Pro Bowl season where he rushed for over 1,000 yards for the fifth time in his career.

He has the potential to be a real upgrade over the likes of Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins, who both left to join Jim Harbaugh out with the Los Angeles Chargers.

The pressure might be off of Henry, but he should still have all eyes on him when he gets the ball.
