When the Denver Nuggets won the 2023 NBA Championship, many didn’t truly appreciate the phenomenal run by the organization.

Considering it was the first NBA title in franchise history, most fans took it for granted and even labeled it as a fluke championship.

However, Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets are proving their critics wrong with their performance in the 2023-24 NBA season.

The Nuggets recently faced off against the Boston Celtics during the regular season, and as expected, it was a phenomenal game.

It was an amazing performance by Nikola Jokic, and after the game, Celtics guard Derrick White heaped huge praise on the two-time NBA MVP via Jared Weiss on Twitter.

“Every time he gets the ball in that little 8-foot area, it’s two points for them,” White said of Jokic.

Derrick White on Nikola Jokic: “His touch is unreal. Every time he gets the ball in that little 8 foot area, it’s two points for them.”

Derrick White has established himself as one of the best guards in the NBA this season.

But that didn’t stop him from praising Nikola Jokic’s fantastic ability to score from the 8-foot area.

White went as far as saying if Jokic gets the ball in his hands in the above-mentioned area, it’s a guarantee for the Nuggets to get two points.

Speaking of Jokic’s performance against the Celtics, the veteran center added 34 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists for the Nuggets.

While Jokic missed a triple-double by one assist, he still led the Nuggets to a sensational 102-100 win over the number-one seed in the Eastern Conference.

As for the Denver Nuggets, they are currently the third seed in the Western Conference and flaunt a solid 29-14 record this season.

If the Nuggets continue playing at this level, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they succeed in winning back-to-back NBA Championships this season.
