The Boston Celtics are back in the NBA Finals.
Most of the players on their roster were also there two seasons ago when they faced the Golden State Warriors.
Needless to say, there were a lot of sleepless nights after that tough loss, and that’s a feeling they just don’t want to experience ever again.
They’re more mature and more experienced and battle-tested now.
However, this is still the NBA Finals we’re talking about, and it doesn’t matter how many times you make it; you’re still going to be a little starstruck.
At least, that’s how Derrick White seems to feel.
Recently, the two-way guard claimed that this is everything he dreamed of as a kid, and there was simply nothing you could compare it to as a basketball player (via Celtics on NBC Sports Boston).

White has a much larger role on the team now than he did in 2022, and that has been one of the keys to their success.
He’s an elite backcourt defender, and he’s made some timely shots, especially in the postseason.
The Celtics are a better team overall, and the additions of Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis have most definitely put them over the top against most of their opponents.
Nonetheless, they’re going to square off against a tough opposition, and White will be tasked with guarding both Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic during some stretches.
This series will be quite tough to predict, and we’ll get to see who’s going to fulfill their lifelong dream of becoming an NBA champion.
