The San Francisco District Attorney, Brook Jenkins, and the San Francisco Police Department confirmed this information, adding that the charges will be filed in the juvenile court.

The report also states that they expect a charging decision by Tuesday or Wednesday.

The teenager reportedly attempted to rob Pearsall at gunpoint while he was walking alone on the street.

The two got into a scuffle, resulting in both of them suffering injuries, per the report.

The suspect reportedly tried to flee the scene and was taken into police custody shortly after.

Per the police, he was acting alone, and only one gun was involved in the shooting, and it’s been recovered already.

The rookie wide receiver was reportedly stable enough to communicate with police officers and share a statement, but they will continue to gather information for the time being.

The Niners took Pearsall with the No. 31 pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

A standout at Arizona State and Florida, he’s expected to make a big impact on the team in the near future.
