The Brooklyn Nets took down the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night, winning 116-112 even though the Suns finally had Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal playing together.

A huge part of Brooklyn’s win was because of the hard work of Mikal Bridges and Cameron Johnson.

Following the game, Devin Booker told Trevor Booth and the press his feelings for those two, who used to play for the Suns.

“It was just like practice, honestly,” Booker said.

He added that he likes to watch his former teammates on NBA League Pass and said: “Everybody knows they’re high-character, and they left their mark on this organization.”

Bridges and Johnson were an important part of the Suns’ roster for several years but both left in the massive Kevin Durant trade during the 2022-23 season.

Since then, they have continued to improve their skills and found new glory with the Nets.

Bridges has averaged 24.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists while in Brooklyn while Johnson has produced 15.8 points, 4 rebounds, and 5.1 assists.

They have been given a lot more opportunities and time to shine with the Nets and have been making the most of it.

On Wednesday, Bridges scored 21 points while Johnson was good for 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.

Meanwhile, Cam Thomas led the team with 24 points.

The Suns had to give away a lot to get Durant and that means that several of their younger stars were sent away.

And although the Nets were sad to see Durant go, they were happy to receive younger, driven players who were looking to prove themselves.

That is exactly what both Bridges and Johnson have done.
