When Mat Ishbia took over the Phoenix Suns, he wasted no time proving to the fanbase that he was all-in on a title.

Ishbia’s first major move was to approve a blockbuster deal to trade for Kevin Durant from the Brooklyn Nets.

The Suns managed to get to the second round of the 2023 NBA playoffs but lost in six games to the eventual-champion Denver Nuggets.

Although a solid finish to the year, Ishbia wasn’t satisfied as he then urged the front office to go and trade for Bradley Beal to give Phoenix a legitimate Big 3.

Durant and Beal now will join Devin Booker and help the star guard capture his first NBA championship.

Ahead of opening night of the 2023-24 NBA season, Booker expressed how much he’s looking forward to the new year via Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic.

“I’m excited, man. I don’t ever take a year for granted. I love being in the NBA. I love the grind of it. Summers are always too long so I’ve been anxious and ready for a few months now. That’s like Christmas,” Booker said.

It’s hard to blame Booker for being excited given that he and the Suns are one of the few teams considered to be good enough to win it all.

Booker has made leaps every year since he’s been in the league, but this is going to be the most talented team he’s had since.

Booker, Durant, and Beal make up three of the best scorers in the league and it’ll be fun to see them try and make good on Ishbia’s goal of winning a title.
