There are a few players in the NBA who see themselves as “tough guys” or “villains.”
Some are really good players who let their play do the talking, while others just talk and struggle to back it up.
One player who is always talking about something is Houston Rockets forward Dillon Brooks.
Brooks spent the first six seasons of his career as a member of the Memphis Grizzlies.
He had plenty of battles with LeBron James during those years.
The most recent came in the playoffs last year where the Lakers sent the Grizzlies home.
But, Wednesday night will be the first time Brooks faces James this season.
You can tell this is a matchup that Brooks has circled on his calendar.
According to Legion Hoops, Brooks said, “I’m ready to lock him up.”

Locking up James is something that no player has ever been able to do.
He always finds a way to score points, but he can have bad shooting nights.
It would be a win for Brooks if he can force James into one of those bad shooting nights.
Brooks is coming off a season where he was named to the All-Defensive team.
Even though he gets a lot of hate for his antics, he is a good defensive player.
The Rockets gave him a big contract to slow down players like James.
It will be interesting to see how this matchup turns out.
You can bet Brooks will try and get under James’ skin but will that be enough to slow him down?
