Even though we’re all witnesses of the most pass-happy era in National Football League history, there have been several pass-catchers who dominated their time when they were in their prime.
Regardless of how many rings they won or how many times they made the playoffs, these guys made sure to dominate and constantly put their teams in a position to succeed.
Recently, Seattle Seahawks star D.K. Metcalf got a chance to look back in time and talk about some of them, ranking his top-five greatest wide receivers of all time, according to PFF.

At No. 5, Metcalf chose a fellow physical specimen in Julio Jones, a flawless wideout who constantly overmatched his opposition with his size and physical traits.
Unfortunately, subpar QB play and then some injuries prevented him from winning a ring.
Jerry Rice got the nod at No. 4, which is slightly surprising, considering the fact that he’s often been deemed as the greatest wide receiver of all time, if not the greatest player ever.
At No. 3, the Seahawks’ star chose the ultimate endzone threat in Terrell Owens, who still ranks third all-time in both career receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.
Randy Moss got the nod at No. 2, which is far from a surprise, as he’s considered to be one of the most dominant pass-catchers ever and a guy who didn’t need an inch of separation to manhandle the best CBs in the game.
Perhaps the only surprise on the list was his choice for No. 1, as he chose Antonio Brown, who had a strong chance at being considered the best ever if it wasn’t for his controversial behavior.
