61-year-old NBA head coach Doc Rivers has had quite a career both as a player and a coach in the league, as he’s seen success throughout his professional life.
Currently, Rivers is the head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers, and he has his team playing at a high level, with arguably the favorite for the NBA MVP award leading the way in the form of center Joel Embiid.
Although Rivers is in the middle of a successful stint with the 76ers, and he won an NBA title as the leader on the sideline for the Boston Celtics, he seems to not think highly of his time as the head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Rivers recently made an interesting admission about coaching the Clippers and how he believes that team simply was never going to win it all due to everybody not being able to get along.
“That team was never going to win, when you look back at it. We didn’t get along well enough.”

It’s unclear if Rivers was talking about the Clippers led by Chris Paul and Blake Griffin or the current squad led by Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
It’d be safe to assume he was talking about his time coaching Paul and Griffin, as it was widely known that team was dysfunctional with a lot of inner turmoil in Los Angeles.
As for Leonard and George, it has been more due to injuries as a reason why they haven’t been able to get over the hump and win it all.
Regardless of his stint in Los Angeles, Rivers has a chance to win a second title as a head coach, with the 76ers expected to be a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
