Doc Rivers Makes Another Bold Claim

The NBA season is rarely smooth for any team.

There always seem to be some ups and downs throughout the season.

But it is not often that we see a coach get fired before the All-Star break, especially the coach of one of the best teams in the league.

But that was the case with the Milwaukee Bucks

Despite being the second seed in the East, they decided to fire head coach Adrian Griffin.

That led to them hiring long-time head coach Doc Rivers.

Since taking over the Bucks, Rivers has not done very well.

He has led them to a 3-7 record, and they have dropped to third in the East.

Yet, it appears if the Bucks did not hire Rivers someone was going to.

According to Rachel Nichols via NBACentral, Rivers said: “I had two other teams call during the season.”

It is surprising to see so many teams interested in Rivers.

His last few coaching stops have not been all that successful.

While his teams usually play well in the regular season, they fall apart in the playoffs.

That is what happened during his time in Philadelphia as the 76ers could not reach the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Bucks have enough talent to go deep in the playoffs.

But not many people consider them a serious championship threat.

Milwaukee has struggled defensively, and that will most likely be their downfall.
