The Los Angeles Dodgers have been on an absolute tear as of late.
The team has played some very impressive baseball in the month of August.
In fact, they head into Wednesday’s game with a 23-4 record this month.
They have already secured their 13th consecutive winning season and will attempt to sweep the Arizona Diamondbacks.
With their recent 9-1 win over the D-Backs at Dodger Stadium, they improved to 82-49 on the season.
Their record this month amounts to an impressive .852 winning percentage.
In fact, this is the fourth consecutive season in which they have posted a winning percentage of .750 or better in the month of August.

The last team to have a winning percentage of .750 or better in the same month four consecutive years was the Chicago White Stockings.
They accomplished that feat in the month of June from 1878-81.
Needless to say, the Dodgers currently find themselves in some elite company.
August has been a strong month this year for the Dodgers, as it has been in the recent past.
With their hot month of August this year, they have extended their lead over the San Francisco Giants to 13.5 games in the NL West.
They also lead the D-Backs by 14 games.
It has been a month to remember for the Dodgers and their fans.
With two games left in August, the Dodgers will have a chance to finish the month on a high note.
They’ll wrap up their series with Arizona tonight before starting a four-game series against the Atlanta Braves, a potential postseason opponent.
