Earlier this offseason, the Miami Dolphins made a massive trade to acquire All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey from the Los Angeles Rams.
Unfortunately for the Dolphins, Ramsey hasn’t been able to get on the field for them yet this season due to a knee injury he suffered in training camp earlier this year.
Recently, the talented cornerback has been practicing again, and there are some who believe he could make his on-field Miami debut this week against the New England Patriots.
Dolphins defensive coordinator Vic Fangio was asked on Thursday about Ramsey’s status for the team’s upcoming game, but the veteran coach still didn’t reveal whether the cornerback would be playing this weekend or not (via NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe).

Before landing with the Dolphins earlier this year, Ramsey spent the first seven seasons of his NFL as a member of both the Jacksonville Jaguars and Los Angeles Rams.
He began his pro career with the Jaguars after they selected him with the fifth-overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
Then in the middle of his fourth year in Jacksonville, he was traded to the Rams, a team that he helped win a Super Bowl in 2021.
Whenever Ramsey ends up making his on-field debut for Miami, it will be interesting to see how much of a difference he can make for his new team.
The Dolphins’ pass defense currently ranks 20th in the NFL in terms of passing yards allowed this season, so it’s not a terrible unit.
But if Miami can have Ramsey out on the field for the rest of the season, then their pass defense should be even better.
