The Sacramento Kings just got a lot better.
Adding DeMar DeRozan could be just what they need to get back to the playoffs, as they can have multiple bucket-getters on the court at all times now.
At least, that’s how Domantas Sabonis feels.
Talking to TMZ Sports, the Lithuanian big man raved about how easily his work can be now that DeRozan is on the team (via Cameron Salerno).
Sabonis: “We already got (De’Aaron) Fox, we got Malik (Monk) and now we got (DeMar) DeRozan. We can get a bucket anytime. Makes life a lot easier on the court.” https://t.co/JAhNZJ3qtX pic.twitter.com/r0oiGwzsno

He pointed out that having him alongside other scorers like De’Aaron Fox and Malik Monk should do wonders for them.
Of course, that’s the reality on paper, and he’s clearly a much better player than Harrison Barnes.
Then again, when it comes to his fit next to their stars, it could be a different story.
DeRozan is a walking bucket and perhaps the best mid-range shooter in the game, but he’s never been a three-point shooter.
It’s not that he doesn’t make a lot of threes; it’s that he doesn’t even take them.
DeRozan can make plays for others and is a willing passer, but spacing could be an issue for Mike Brown’s team, as Sabonis isn’t much of a floor-spacing big, either.
Fox can knock down a shot or two, but that has never been his game or his calling card.
Monk will most likely continue to come off the bench, so they might only have Keegan Murray as a legitimate threat from beyond the arc in the starting lineup.
Even so, if you’re right there and a star becomes available, you just have to go get him.
